Dr Bala lndrajit MBBS (Hons), MRCS (Eng), FCSSL, FRACS (Urology) is a Senior Australian trained Urological Surgeon.

Dr lndrajit obtained his undergraduate and initial post graduate training in Sri Lanka. After obtaining his MRCS degree from England, Dr lndrajit obtained his advanced Urological fellowship training from Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Gosford Hospital and Nepean Hospital.

His practice covers urological malignancies including minimal access (laparoscopic) procedures and robotic assisted laparoscopic procedures for prostate and kidney cancers. Dr lndrajit has special interest and expertise in laser treatment for kidney and bladder stones, and green light laser treatment for benign prostate enlargement and obstruction. His practice Greater Western Urology also covers general urological procedures including vasectomy, circumcision and operations/procedures for scrotal pathology and urinary continence.

Dr Bala lndrajit is a senior clinical lecturer at University of Sydney, Rural School of Medicine. He has a great passion and interest in surgical education of his junior staff, the medical students and surgical registrars in training.

Dr lndrajit practices from his clinics at Dubbo Private Hospital, Mudgee Medical Centre and at Sydney Adventist Hospital SAN Clinic Parkway, Wahroonga. His hospital attachments are at Dubbo Base Hospital, Dubbo Private Hospital, Mudgee District Hospital and Sydney Adventist Hospital, Wahroonga.

Dr lndrajit has been practicing in the Orana Region and Midwest NSW over the last seven years. In this period he has pioneered the introduction of laser treatment for stones, Laparoscopic Nephrectomies and Radical Prostatectomies for prostate cancer at Dubbo Base and Dubbo Private Hospitals. This has enabled the patients to have their treatment close to home avoiding long trips to Sydney.
