Accommodation

Dubbo Private offers both shared and private rooms. While we make every endeavour to provide you with your accommodation preference, please understand that in certain circumstances of high activity or emergency admissions, it may be necessary to admit you to a shared room.

All rooms include a TV with Foxtel and local radio stations, complimentary WiFi, a telephone for local calls and ensuite facilities.  A central patient lounge is available  and seating areas are available.  

DVA Accommodation

Under an agreement with the Department of Veterans' Affairs, eligible veterans and war widows are admitted to shared room accommodation unless the medical condition requires single room facilities.

If your personal preference is single room accommodation, arrangements should be discussed with hospital staff. Allocation of a single room under these circumstances will require you to meet the extra accommodation cost.

Meals

Our catering department provides a choice of quality meals, prepared on-site. Special dietary needs are catered for, where it is in the interest of your medical care. Learn more about the Meals we offer. 

Snacks and refreshments can also be purchased from dispensing machines which are available on the second floor of the hospital.

Housekeeping

Our staff take pride in delivering a high standard of hotel service, through the maintenance and cleaning of all patient areas and rooms.  

Parking

We recommend that you travel to and from hospital with a carer, friend or relative. Free parking available in the streets surrounding the hospital. Please ensure you read and adhere to all signage. 

Pastoral care

Religious visits can be arranged on request. Please speak to our hospital staff who will be happy to organise a suitable visit for you.

Discharge planning

To ensure your post-discharge needs are met, we offer a comprehensive discharge planning service as part of your overall care. This can include arranging equipment and support services from community care health professionals for you at home.
